Who qualifies as a carer?
A carer is a person over the age of 18 who provides help and support to an individual who is in receipt of DLA (Disability Living Allowance) or PIP (Personal Independence Payment).
We just ask to see proof of DLA or PIP receipt at the gate.
Do I need to book tickets?
No, just turn up.
Do you allow dogs?
We love dogs! Please keep them on leads at all times, and make sure you clear up after them. We allow dogs everywhere at Priory Maze – except inside the café.
I only want to go into the maze - do I have to pay to go in the gardens?
The maze is situated within the gardens, so your admission covers you to go around the maze and gardens.
Can I bring my own food into the gardens?
Of course! We have plenty of picnic benches around the gardens.
Suitable for wheelchairs?
The maze and majority of our gardens are suitable for wheelchairs.
We have plenty of benches around the gardens, for those who need a break from walking, or just want to admire the views!
The carpark, entrance to the café and toilets are wheelchair friendly too.
How long does it take?
We advise that you allow a minimum of 1 hour to enjoy your time, but most people enjoy a full day with us and never want to leave!
I don’t drive- where’s the nearest public transport?
There is a bus stop at Beeston Regis, and the nearest train station is Sheringham.
Can we get the Priory ruins from the garden?
The ruins can be accessed from the road by our carpark entrance, it is only a short walk and is definitely worth a visit.
Do we need to book tables for the Café?
No reservations are taken on any tables; they are occupied on a first come, first serve basis.
Do you allow location shoots?
We have had many wonderful photo shoots over the years, we charge £100 per hour.
It is also possible to arrange a photo shoot outside of our normal opening hours. Just email us your requirements and we will do our best to accommodate.
